The elegant and luxurious Antonius Hotel, located in the heart of Tartu, directly opposite the main building of the University of Tartu, opened its doors in March 2009. The building with a dignified history, first mentioned in documents from the 16th century, received its current construction in 1811. Throughout the ages, there has been a hat master's workshop, the Livonian Noble Manor Credit Society, St. Anthony's Guild and a police office.

The building is protected as an architectural monument and therefore as much of the historical interior and exterior as possible has been restored with care and love. The oldest restored value can be considered the 18th century cross vaults in the basement. The rooftop rooms have preserved old beamed ceilings, stone walls and many fascinating historical elements. The whole building is characterized by late 19th century architecture and a crisp-romantic design style.

The hotel’s interiors are decorated with valuable antique furniture, complemented by modern solutions in the bathrooms and bedrooms, creating a cozy and homely interior. The hotel has 27 rooms on four floors, including 6 suites, 12 De Luxe, 8 Superior Double and 1 single attic room. The rooms are thoughtfully and carefully matched with special colors, wallpaper patterns, murals, tiled fireplaces and ovens, upholstered furniture with velvet and rose fabrics and period accessories.

The windows of the rooms facing Ülikooli Street offer a view of the dignified main building of the University of Tartu and its famous pillars. From the windows of the rooms in the second wing of the hotel you can enjoy the red roofs of the old town and the Mediterranean-style courtyard with a terrace café open in summer.

The rooms feature antique furniture combined with modern comforts: air conditioning, telephone, LCD TV, minibar, mini safe and luxury bathroom.

Breakfast and dinner are served in the restaurant with vaulted basement atrium and rose paintings. On the ground floor there is a cozy library-fireplace lounge with stylish antique furniture, where you can read a book, have an aperitif with friends or just relax in the warmth of the living fire.
